Melodies, stories, nursery rhymes, movement – come along!

Music playschool provides joyful music learning experiences for children aged 0–6. Our aim is to create love, interest and curiosity towards music in children. Studies in music playschool develop children’s listening skills and support their holistic growth. Tuition is designed to follow child development stages and it is shaped to suit every group’s needs. Our music playschool is a part of basic art education and follows the extended syllabus of early age music education.

In music playschool, music is created by using one’s own voice, body and different instruments. Methods of teaching include f. ex. learning old and new nursery rhymes, songs and music-related games, as well as movement, dance, stories, singing, playing instruments, listening and drama activities. Stories and tales lead to new adventures!

During the school year, 31-33 weeks of teaching is offered. Possible concerts, performances and festive occasions are included in this number of weekly tuition. National holidays, such as Independence Day, Epiphany or the first of May, may reduce the number of weekly tuition.

Music playschool is offered in Kuopio, Juankoski, Lapinlahti, Nilsiä, Siilinjärvi and Suonenjoki. After turning 5, those participating in music playschool have the opportunity to apply to preparatory studies in music (i. e. preparatory studies for basic education).
