New strategy period of Kuopio Conservatory for 2026–2030

In the coming years, Kuopio Conservatory will place particular emphasis on the values of creativity, joy and community. Based on these values, we are strengthening a safe learning environment where everyone has the opportunity to build their own path in music and dance. We also want to reinforce the role of culture in the community around us. Culture is all of us!

CREATIVITY is present in teaching, learning, and working together. It is reflected in collaboration between music, dance, and other art forms. We dare, encourage, learn, get inspired, renew ourselves, and find our own voice.

JOY is, above all, the joy of learning. It grows through practice, insight, and success. Long-term practice in music and dance brings joy and encourages continuous learning. Creating art brings joy both to oneself and to others.

COMMUNITY is a safe community – a home for music and dance, where everyone is seen and where diversity is regarded as a strength. We strengthen accessibility in our institution, supporting multiculturalism and diversity. We support one another and build a sustainable future together.
